Set Top Box User Interface (UI)

Goal: EKT European electronics manufacture required a unique interface for a new line of set-top boxes which could be white-labelled for different service providers.

Description:  Initial concepts and screens were developed in Adobe Photoshop (PSD)  and presented to the client as interactive PDF files. This allowed the client to review and provided feedback to all aspect of the design, navigation and functionality. PSD’s were then converted to HTML5 interactive templates and supplied to the client.

Outcome: HTML5 templates formed the base operating User Interface for all set-top boxes.  These templates were then customised internally with a new logo, colour styles and animation effects to produce customised UI’s for the varying services providers. The concept UI was implement with EKT’s largest connected client – Hong Kong Cable, with over 200K units sold in the initial release, with increased sales year on year.
